Competitions Terms
The following terms and conditions apply to all competitions entries.
1. Standard Terms
Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2. Who can enter
Entry is open to all members of About My Age website.
3. How to enter
- In order to enter each competition, members must firstly agree to these Terms and Conditions by clicking on the "I agree" button
- Members can enter each competition by simply registering their interest in that competition.
- Only one entry per day is allowed for each competition. Members can enter each competition on consecutive days for the duration of the competition. That means: One entry - per member - per day - per competition.
4. Conditions of entry
- Only members of About My Age website may enter each competition.
- Members must be able to engage and participate in the competition that they have entered.
- There will be one winner per competition. The winner will receive one prize, as set out in the description of that competition.
- There will be one winner chosen from total pool of entries received. Each entrant who has entered the competition over the duration of the competition will be eligible.
- About My Age Pty Ltd's decision is final and About My Age Pty Ltd will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
- Winners must ensure that their email address is current.
- Some competitions may require that About My Age Pty Ltd pass on the winner's details to the Company or entity offering the prize. The winner agrees that About My Age Pty Ltd has their consent to pass on their details to that Company or entity.
- Some prizes may require that the winner use a voucher at an online store. All winners agree that About My Age Pty Ltd is not liable or responsible for their transactions, or for any lost, damaged or faulty goods or services associated with any online stores.
- About My Age Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if About My Age Pty Ltd determines, in its absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by About My Age Pty Ltd in its absolute discretion.
5. Start and closing dates
The competition commences on the date posted and concludes on the date posted for that particular competition.
6. When and where the competition will be drawn
- Each competition will be drawn on or after midnight on the closing date for that particular competition.
- The winner of that draw will be randomly selected by computer from the list of entrants for that particular competition on that competition page on the About My Age Pty Ltd website.
7. Details and values of all prizes
- There will be one winner per competition. The winner will receive one prize, as set out in the description of that competition.
- Total prize value will be described in each competition.
- Prizes can be transferred but not redeemed for cash.
- In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition.
- Winner's names may be published on the Competitions pages and in the Newsletter.
8. How winners will be notified
- Winners will be notified by email from the Administration after the closing date. Winners must ensure that their email address is current.
- Winners must be willing to supply their full name and address and email address as well as any other contact details to the Administration.
- Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of winning notification. If a winner does not claim their prize within 30 days it may be forfeit.
- Some competitions may require that About My Age Pty Ltd pass on the winner's details to the Company or entity offering the prize. The winner agrees that About My Age Pty Ltd has their consent to pass on their details to that Company or entity.
- Winners will have their prize posted to them, or sent electronically or by email, either from About My Age Pty Ltd, or the Company or entity that is offering the prize.
9. No Liability
- In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders About My Age Pty Ltd's ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, About My Age Pty Ltd may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
- About My Age Pty Ltd will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
- About My Age Pty Ltd will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur to the winners:
a) during the draw;
b) whilst undertaking any activity in or connected with their entry into the draw;
c) in the participation in any prize;
d) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
e) in relation to failure of an entry to be received by About My Age Pty Ltd on account of technical problems or traffic congestion;
f) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any computer equipment, software, internet connection, any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer software related to or resulting from participation in this promotion; - About My Age Pty Ltd assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
- If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, About My Age Pty Ltd reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
10. Release and Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, all entrants release from, and indemnify About My Age Pty Ltd against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the Competition including (but not limited to )the use of their details by the third party Company or entity offering the prize, loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
