Rosella Rounds Round Dance Club

  • From: 14 Feb 2011 to: 14 Mar 2012
  • Contact: Fiona (03) 9802 5087

Round Dancing is the latest ballroom dancing fad.  It is related to Square Dancing but much easier to learn and suitable for anyone who would like to learn to Waltz, Foxtrot, Two Step, etc.  You are taught the basic dance steps individually and then these are put together in sequence to complete a whole dance around the room.  In this way everyone in the room is doing the same steps at the same time (as cued by the choreographer or caller).  It is much easier than learning a whole dance at one time.  The sequence of steps is changed to match different music, to add to the variety and to keep you on your toes!

Come along every Friday evening 7.00 - 10.00pm at the Forest Hill Uniting Church Hall, 333A Canterbury Road, Forest Hill (Melways 62 F2) in Melbourne. $8 per session. Supper provided.

It's got basically a cross-section of articles for sale from at least the last 80 to 90 years, from toys to clothes to hats and jewellery. There's even furniture and electrical gear in there too, though get the electrical stuff checked out before you plug it in at home.

Spend hours in this market-style retail space, home to 70 stalls crammed with second-hand decorative items and cameras, chinaware, jewellery, lighting, vintage haberdashery, fashion, even retro telephones. Smaller furniture and some larger pieces often surface.
